Seth Rollins walked into Saturday Night’s Main Event as Mr. Money in the Bank and walked out as the main subject of the wildest WWE conspiracy theory in years.
The moment LA Knight got the clean win over Seth Rollins, it was clear Seth was really hurt. I mean, there is no way Triple H is letting Mr. Knight win like that, even if that is a planned injury angle. Or maybe that’s exactly what he wants us to think.
As a fan of LA Knight, I am obviously a big conspiracy theorist when it comes to anything WWE. So I found the wildest theories about Rollins’ injury online and tried to rate them. I am not saying any of these theories are true. But if one of them is… it might explain everything.
Table of Conspiracies:
1. The Broken Plan ⭐️⭐️
“Rollins was supposed to cash in on Goldberg, who was supposed to beat Gunther. But Rollins got injured, and the plan collapsed.”
This is the safest theory floating around. The idea is simple: Goldberg gets a surprise win over Gunther at SNME. Rollins cashes in, crowd pops, WWE walks away with a WrestleMania-style moment on a random Saturday.
But when Rollins got hurt mid-match, WWE had to change the finish. The title never changed hands. Goldberg didn’t win. The match looked rushed. And the moment, if there was one planned, never happened.
Only problem? Goldberg later appeared on Ariel Helwani’s show and buried the match, the build, and the booking. If he was supposed to win, he would’ve at least understood why it didn’t happen. Or maybe he’d complain no matter what. After all, according to online wrestling journalists, Goldberg is ungrateful and shouldn’t even comment on his own matches. He should stick to critiquing other people’s matches, like these leeches do

Believable. But Boring.
2. The Cold Feet Conspiracy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“The Goldberg plan was real… but Triple H backed out last minute. So Rollins faked the injury.”
This one’s dirtier. According to this version, WWE was ready to hand Goldberg the title for one last run. Rollins would cash in right after and give Goldberg his farewell moment.
But right before the show, Triple H got cold feet. He didn’t want the words “2025 World Champion Goldberg” trending for the wrong reasons. As fans would immediately compare it to Hangman’s reign in AEW and drag WWE through the mud all weekend. It was a stupid idea, but he had promised Goldberg the title. WHAT TO DO??
So he and Rollins came up with an emergency out: an injury angle. Rollins fakes the limp, the cash-in gets scrapped, and Goldberg walks away confused, title-less, and post-match pissed off.

Highly possible as HHH is active on X and must’ve panicked tbh.
3. The Goldberg Bait & Switch ⭐️⭐️⭐️
“WWE tricked Goldberg into working the show by promising a final title run. Rollins’ injury was the excuse.”
Goldberg didn’t want to come back for a filler match. He wanted a story. A real build. A retirement sendoff. You know the stuff he complained about in that interview. WWE didn’t have that; they just had a Saturday night to counter-program AEW All In.
So they dangled a carrot: Beat Gunther. Take the title. Rollins will cash in, but you’ll get your moment. Goldberg agrees. The match happens. Rollins gets “hurt”. Suddenly, no title change. No cash-in. No farewell. Just Goldberg looking like a guy who got lied to on his way out. LOL

Hilarious if true, but since I am a Goldberg mark, it is 3 stars only, thanks.
4. Roman Avoidance Protocol ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Rollins faked the injury to avoid Roman and clear a path to Punk.”
Roman was set to return the next night on RAW. Rollins knew a confrontation was coming. And with CM Punk and the World Heavyweight Title both in his sights, he didn’t want Roman anywhere near that area.
So he takes himself out. Let Roman get tied up with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The idea was for them to soften Roman while Rollins focuses on Punk. Even if he couldn’t stop Punk from winning the gauntlet, keeping Roman away gave him two options: cash in himself and win, or take a fall to Gunther just to block Punk. Because for Rollins, stopping Punk might matter more than winning gold himself. Hmmm.

Parts genius. Parts trash theory.

5. The All In Distraction ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“The injury wasn’t a story. It was just a desperate move to steal headlines from AEW.”
This one’s simple and sad.
WWE knew the AEW ALL IN match card alone would blow SNME out of the water. So what do you do when you can’t win the workrate war? You fake an injury. You blur the lines. You get fans speculating.
No title change. No twist. Just a limp, a stretcher, and a bunch of headlines.
Rating: 6/8
Extremely plausible considering WWE was promoting half a dozen shows around the ALL IN weekend.
6. The Stunt Double Kayfabe Surgery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Everything is a work. The plan got leaked, so WWE hired a stunt double to undergo real knee surgery.”
Look, every theory list needs one completely unhinged option. This is that one.
Once the injury angle leaked to Post Wrestling, WWE panicked and pivoted. They hired a Rollins body double and are now negotiating with him to undergo knee surgery.
Even though the said stunt double wanted a shoulder surgery, WWE refused and was adamant about the knee. The goal? Keep the kayfabe alive at all costs. This level of commitment to the craft of pro wrestling is something we have never seen before.

Hoping this is true.
Until Rollins walks again or his stunt double does, we’ll keep the tinfoil hats on and the kayfabe alive.
